AIFLAM NMAS Mediation Training Course

Tuesday 19 - Saturday 23 November and Saturday 30 November 

This court will be held on 19 to 23 November 2024 and 30 November, online via Zoom. This interactive and practical program is designed to give participants the knowledge and skills required to practice family law mediation with confidence and professionalism.

The online Course will be conducted:

  • Time                                           The sessions will run from 7.30am to 3.30pm WST
  • Assessment                               Saturday 30 November 2024

AIFLAM AMDRAS Advanced Mediation Practicum Workshop

Saturday, 15 February 2025 & Saturday, 22 February 2025 - Online via Zoom

This 2-day online training workshop satisfies the small group training of the new AMDRAS as Practicum Certificate. Lead by UWA Mediation Clinic trainer Dr Darren Moroney, the course will use advanced mediation skills to help you analyse a real case and teaches the important skill of self-reflection. Taught over 2 Saturdays in February 2025 with a written reflective journal to be submitted for later assessment.

Arbitration Training Course

Friday 21 March 2025 - Online via Zoom

The course is designed to help participants develop the knowledge and skills required to conduct Family Law Arbitration with confidence and professionalism.

Over the course of the program, participants will:

  • Discover the essentials of arbitration—what it is and what it is not, the rules and statutory basis of Family Law Arbitration and how it fits into the family law dispute resolution system.
  • Develop skills in conducting arbitration, including how to prepare for arbitration, managing the arbitration process and award writing.

Successful completion of the course will entitle attendees to be listed as a Family Law Arbitrator pursuant to Regulation 67B of the Family Law Regulations.

NMAS Mediation Refresher and Assessment Days

Friday 30 and Saturday 31 May 2025 - Online via Zoom

Join our expert trainers from the UWA Mediation Clinic for this two day course. Day One will provide a review and refresher of contemporary approaches to facilitative mediation. Day Two will comprise coaching and assessment for those NMAS accredited mediators seeking to renew or re-accredit.
